Reports the results of a study on the collection of science and technology in school resource centres of four secondary schools in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. The study indicates that most science and technology collection were published in 1989 and before (54%). Books published in 1997 only accounts for 1.1%. As for other non-book collection, most were published after 1993. In terms of age of publication, the collection of science and tehnology materials, it was found that eight out of thirteen subjects were published before 1989. This clearly indicates that the majority of books found in school resource centres studied were more than nine years old. Most of the science and technology collection were for loan and were published in Bahasa Melayu. It was found that teachers borrowed more books than non-book materials. The students were allowed to borrow books only. The most popular material read and used by both teachers and students per week was Mathematics. The majority of the respondents were of the opinion that the collection of sceience and technology in school resource centres were inadequate.Tiew, Wai Sin and Nik Asma, Nik Ahmad
