Ion exchange is used for many application, either in laboratory and industrial scale. It is mostly used in chemical process, biology, environment or metallurgy for purification and pre-concentration purpose. This research intends to study the use of ion exchange prospect in the purification of Sodium Chloride by decreasing the sulfate ion concentration. Under this experiment condition, it was found that the ion exchange could decrease 60-100% sulfate ion in the solution that contains more than 10% Sodium Chloride.
