e-learning emerging issues and prospective trends in Indian context

The purpose of this paper is to provide a view of the state of e-learning, issues and implications for the use of technology mediated and delivered instruction in general and the vocational education and training (VET) sector in India in particular. The paper was developed in a short time frame to inform the planning cycle for initiatives within the IFLF (Indian Flexible Learning Framework). It aims to integrate a review of literature to provide a high level comparative view of the current and future directions for e-learning, and possible implications for policy and practices in present scenario of learning , Apart from it this paper will emphasis on technical and support level that how does it function and how could it be gained and what kind of knowledge requires which could be helpful in developing the technologies etc. In this Paper a prospective issues on VET has been considered as an edge to point out the issue based developments of a technical, organizational and pedagogical nature to generate an adaptive technologies in education and training to help and reach out on a justifying point of considerations. This paper offers an over view of e- learning as a tool and driving forces for today's learning scenario, secondly how does it work and what are its implications and prospects.
