A bad contact in a resistive electrical circuit may cause damage any electrical component in the circuit. This paper shows the bad contact effect in an electrical circuit of an autoclve system which causes damage on one of its contact relays connected to their heater element. The results of analysis suggest that the raise of electrical current (di/dt) repetitively is the source of destrcuction which was generated by the bad contact phenomenon. This paper gives a warning that how important of doing a regular preventive maintenance on any equipment to prevent such a bad contact phenomenon.
