This paper describes the utilization of electric energy to produce hydrogen infuture-planned in Mamberamo Project (Irian Jaya) to produce hydrogen. The hydrogen generated from the electrolysis of water is further processed to produce petrochemical products, such as methanol, urea, gasoline synthetic, by reacting it with CO2 which is available in huge amount from the Natuna gas field in the South China Sea.
